1972 Ford Bronco Restomod: Born to Conquer the Rocks

The world of restomod Ford Bronco models has seen a surge in recent years, each more intriguing than the last. Among these, a 1972 Bronco restomod stands out as one of the most eye-catching and outlandish creations to date.

This exceptional 1972 Ford Bronco has undergone a comprehensive transformation by Rock Bottom Offroad in California. The transformation began with a new frame to provide a solid foundation for the extensive modifications. To enhance its off-road capabilities, the company installed a new four-link front suspension and triangulated four-link rear suspension. Power-assisted steering, Warn manually locking front hubs, Fox coilovers with remote reservoirs, and an Antirock sway bar have also been incorporated into the build.

What immediately captures attention is the Bronco’s towering ride height. The bold exterior sports a stunning blue paint finish, complemented by a black removable hardtop. The custom roll cage, bolt-on fender extensions, and a new fuel cap add to its distinctive appearance. Rock Bottom Offroad has not overlooked the details, equipping the Bronco with new front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, and unique taillights. The off-road prowess is enhanced with a set of 17-inch KMC Grenade Beadlock wheels wrapped in 37-inch Milestar Patagonia MT2 tires.

Under the hood lies a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine with a body-colored engine cover, aluminum radiator, and dual electric fans. This powerful engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and features a dual-range transfer case. To further bolster its off-road credentials, the Bronco boasts Currie RockJob 60 front and rear axles, ensuring it’s ready to tackle any terrain. Upgraded brakes have also been installed to provide reliable stopping power.

Inside the classic Ford Bronco, you’ll find leather-wrapped bucket seats up front and a removable rear bench seat. It’s not all about off-road capability, as this Bronco offers modern comforts. The cabin features a Restomod Air climate control system and an Alpine infotainment screen.

While restomod Broncos like this one are undeniably impressive and capable, their high price tags, often exceeding $120,000, mean that many may never actually see an off-road trail. Nevertheless, these creations continue to capture the imagination of enthusiasts, offering a blend of classic style and modern performance that’s hard to resist.
